J-Star invests in Section Eight

J-Star Co said Jan. 9 that it acquired a majority stake in Section Eight Co Ltd. Financial terms weren’t announced. Section Eight, of Shinagawa-Ku, Tokyo, operates bars, nightclubs and restaurants. J-Star, of Tokyo, is a private equity firm with $300 million of assets under management.
