KKR said Tuesday that it is backing Roland Wessel, Colin Judd and Melvyn Horgan to launch Trans European Oil & Gas Ltd. Financial terms weren’t announced. Trans European Oil & Gas plans to build a portfolio of conventional onshore oil and gas properties in proven hydrocarbon plays in Europe. Wessel, Judd and Horgan are the founders and former management team of Star Energy.
