KKR to buy Panasonic's healthcare unit in $1.67 bln deal

U.S. private equity firm KKR & Co said it will initially pay about 165 billion yen ($1.67 billion) for Panasonic Corp’s healthcare unit, in what could be the largest buyout deal in Asia year to date, sister news service Reuters reported.
