Kronos Bio inks $18 mln seed
New York City and Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Kronos Bio Inc, a developer of "first-in-class therapies against historically intractable targets," has raised $18 million in seed funding. The investors included Omega Funds, Vida Ventures LLC and BellCo Capital. In addition to the funding, Kronos Bio appointed Norbert Bischofberger as president and CEO. Previously, Bischofberger worked at Gilead Sciences where he most recently was executive vice president, research and development and chief scientific officer.
