LeapFrog Investments Fund II Collects $204 Mln
LeapFrog Investments has collected $204 million in an initial raise for its second fund. Investors include insurers such as MetLife Inc., Prudential (USA), XL Group, Achmea, PartnerRe and Swiss Re, while JPMorgan Chase & Co., Christian Super and TIAA-CREF also committed. Other investors include CDC, DEG, the European Investment Bank, FMO, and Oikocredit. LeapFrog's first fund collected $135 million. Fund II will invest in companies in Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia that provide financial services such as insurance, savings, pensions and investment products to emerging consumers.
