Legend in series-A financing for game developers

Legend Capital, a China-based venture capital firm affiliated with PC company Lenovo, has participated in the Series A financing of a video games developer, Virtuos.

Legend Capital, the venture capital subsidiary of Legend Holdings which owns Lenovo Group, has taken part in a Series A financing round for Virtuos, an independent video game developer founded in 2004, according to a statement.

Based in Shanghai, Virtuos focuses on providing outsourced services to international clients. Since inception, it has built a team of more than 100 in-house game specialists, a number the firm hopes to triple with Legend’s financing, the statement said.

Legend was established in April 2001, and manages $300 million across three funds. Its focus lies mainly in the IT industry, and ventures with operations based in China.

No financial details were available, and both companies could not be reached.
