Lightmatter picks up $11 mln Series A

Boston-based Lightmatter, a maker of a light-powered AI chip, has secured $11 million in Series A funding. Matrix Partners and Spark Capital led the round. In conjunction with the funding, Stan Reiss from Matrix and Santo Politi from Spark have joined the company’s board of directors.
