Linden hires Providence exec(2)

The firm has added two operating executives this year, bringing its team of operating partners to nine.

Chicago-based healthcare investor Linden Capital Partners has hired Eran Broshy, a former senior advisor at Providence Equity Partners, as an operating partner.

Broshy will work with Linden’s investments in the provider, payer and pharmaceutical services sectors. Prior to joining Providence in 2009, Broshy was chief executive officer at inVentive Health, a service provider to the pharmaceutical industry that was purchased by Thomas H. Lee Partners for $1.1 billion in 2010. He was previously a partner at The Boston Consulting Group, responsible for the firm’s healthcare practice in the Americas.

Broshy’s hire comes as Linden works to build out its stable of operating partners. In January, the firm hired Bill Rhodes, a former senior vice president of corporate strategy and development at NYSE-listed medical technology company Becton, Dickinson and Company, as an operating partner. The two recent additions bring Linden’s team of operating partners to nine, according to its website.

Linden makes control investments and late stage transactions exclusively in the healthcare sector, and recently completed two transactions in the dental services segment, acquiring dental equipment supplier Young Innovations in January for $314 million and recapitalising dental practice management company Northwest Management Services last October.

Linden is led by co-founder and partner Brian Miller, also the founder and president of the Health Care Private Equity Association, a trade group founded in 2010 that includes Apax Partners, Bain Capital, DW Healthcare Partners, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, The Riverside Company, TPG Capital and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe as member firms.

Linden was unavailable for comment at press time.
