Lyceum hires former Montagu exec

Anthony Greensmith, a former board member at mid-market firm Montagu Private Equity, has joined Lyceum Capital to lead the firm’s investment activity in the North of the UK.

Greensmith joins Lyceum following a two-year career break, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to this he worked at Montagu for 13 years, where he was latterly a director and board member based in Manchester.

“As a seasoned dealmaker with more than two decades’ experience, his extensive local network will enable Lyceum to build deeper relationships with more businesses in the North,” said Lyceum managing partner Jeremy Hand in a statement.

Greensmith’s appointment follows the addition of six professionals across Lyceum’s investment and operations teams in 2016.

Lyceum is a London-headquartered firm focusing on UK lower mid-market investments. Its sector focus is B2B services and technology companies.
