MedImpact Acquires Prescription Discount Provider Apex Affinity

MedImpact Healthcare Systems, a provider of pharmacy benefit management services, is to acquire Apex Affinity, a provider of consumer prescription savings programs to large affinity groups. MedImpact is purchasing Apex from private equity firm SilverStream Capital. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter.
