Messaging app PingTune rings in $1.6 mln - TechCrunch

PingTune, formerly known as Tuneit, has closed $1.6 million in new financing, TechCrunch reported. The site said the investors were Rupert Hambro, chairman of JO Hambro and serial entrepreneur Dominic Perks. Based in London, PingTune is an iPhone messaging app that lets users search for music from sources like YouTube and SoundCloud and share the track with friends.
