Metaforic Inks $8M Round Led by SEP

Growth equity and venture firm Scottish Equity Partners led a 5 million pound ($8 million) investment in Metaforic, a software start-up based in Glasgow, Scottland, and California. The company is developing security software to combat piracy and hacker attacks. Pentech Ventures and the Scottish Investment Bank's Scottish Venture Fund also contributed to the round, which will help the company expand sales and marketing.
