The placement agent has promoted Meredith Gendron in Boston and Niklas Amundsson in Hong Kong.

Placement agent Monument Group has promoted Meredith Gendron and Niklas Amundsson to partners, the firm said.

Gendron is a managing director based in the firm’s Boston office. She joined Monument in 2005 from research firm Olson Global Markets where she was a technical analyst. She is responsible for fund due diligence and analytics, the firm said.

Amundsson is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office where he is a managing director. He is responsible for investor coverage in Asia and Australia, having joined the firm in January 2015 from another placement agent, MVision, where he worked for seven years and was a partner.

Earlier in Amundsson’s career, he was an associate director at Almeida Capital in London and worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in London and Frankfurt in equity sales, and at ABN AMRO in equity research, according to his LinkedIn.

Monument Group expanded its Hong Kong office with three hires last September, as reported by Private Equity International.

Around the same time, it wrapped up fundraising for Silversmith Capital Partners, which closed its debut fund on $460 million in September, as reported.
