Napier Park appoints PE director

Napier Park Financial Partners has hired former Morgan Stanley Private Equity vice president Ned May as a director.

Napier Park Financial Partners, the private equity arm of Napier Park Global Capital, has hired Ned May as a director.

May was previously a vice president at Morgan Stanley Private Equity for five years. He was also an associate at Lightyear Capital for two years. His career began as an analyst at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Napier Park Financial Partners targets investments of between $5 million and $30 million and works in partnership with portfolio company management teams and co-investors.

Its portfolio spreads across payments technology and services, banking and lending technology and services, insurance technology and services, banking and specialty finance, asset and wealth management, and business services and outsourcing.

Napier Park Global Capital manages $6.2 billion and has offices in New York, London and Switzerland.

As of October, the firm had raised $95 million for its NP Railcar Investments II, which has a target of $500 million, according to PEI’s Research & Analytics division.
