NFLPA launches business accelerator for sports tech startups
The NFL Players Association, a union organization for NFL players, has launched OneTeam Collective, a business accelerator for sports tech startups. OneTeam Collective's founding partners are Harvard Innovation Lab, Intel, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, LeadDog Marketing Group, Madrona Venture Group and the Sports Innovation Lab. The Collective will offer companies access to football stars via licensing, marketing and content rights, research and development, funding and mentorship in exchange for product development and marketing support. KPCB and Madrona Venture Group will provide consulting services and potential funding for the Collective.
