NFX Capital raises $150m

The firm will target seed-stage tech startups in its first institutional fund.

NFX Capital, a San Francisco and Israel-based early-stage venture firm, closed its debut institutional vehicle at its target size of $150 million.

According to the firm’s press release, NFX will deploy the capital in seed-stage tech startups in North America and Israel across multiple sectors. The firm will invest in 30-40 companies in bite sizes of up to $5 million, targeting startups with strong network effects and using proprietary software for deal sourcing.

Since 2015, NFX has invested in pre-seed startups out of three-month accelerator programs in San Francisco. According to the press release, NFX Capital Fund I will continue its accelerator model by providing rolling six-month sessions of coaching and mentorship to its portfolio companies.
