Novartis Unit Buying Oriel Therapeutics
Sandoz, a unit of Novartis, has agreed to acquire Oriel Therapeutics, a North Carolina-based developer of inhaled drug delivery systems for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. No financial terms were disclosed. Oriel Therapeutics has raised over $12 million in VC funding from CHL Medical Partners, Healthcare Ventures, New Leaf Venture Partners and Thomas, McNerney & Partners.
