Open Prairie raises $81 mln for third rural opportunities fund

Open Prairie has closed its third rural opportunities fund at $81 million. The Open Prairie Rural Opportunities Fund will provide debt and equity funding to growth and later-stage companies in the agribusiness sector with a focus on opportunities based in rural America. The fund's investors include 12 Farm Credit institutions, 14 commercial and community banks and several strategic, agriculture-related organizations.
