OrbiMed leads Series C round for Synthorx
La Jolla, California-based Synthorx Inc, a developer of novel protein therapeutics, has raised $63 million in Series C financing. OrbiMed led the round with participation from Medicxi, Osage University Partners, Avalon Ventures, RA Capital Management and Correlation Ventures. In addition to the funding, Dr. Peter Thompson and Vickie Capps will join the Synthorx board of directors.
