Pepsi boss becomes PAI partner

French buyout firm PAI Partners has appointed Charles Bouaziz (pictured), former chief executive of drinks group PepsiCo, as a partner in its consumer group.

Charles Bouaziz, previously chief executive of PepsiCo’s Western European business, has joined French buyout group PAI as a partner.

He becomes a member of the firm’s consumer goods unit, where he will be responsible for supervising the firm’s portfolio performance group, its in-house operational improvement body. He will also help to source new investments, the firm said.

Bouaziz worked at PepsiCo from 1991 to 2010 , initially as head of its French business before becoming chief executive for Western Europe. Prior to that he worked as a marketing manager at Procter & Gamble. Most recently, he was chief executive at French supermarket chain Monoprix.

PAI has a number of consumer businesses within its portfolio, including United Biscuits, Yoplait and Panzalim.
