Platinum Equity buys Husky for $3.85 bln

Platinum Equity has acquired Bolton, Ontario-based Husky Injection Molding Systems, a provider of injection molding equipment and services for the plastics industry, for $3.85 billion. The sellers are Berkshire Partners and OMERS Private Equity. Latham & Watkins, Stikeman Elliott and Baker McKenzie was legal counsel to Platinum Equity on the transaction while Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and Torys LLP did likewise for Husky.
