Public worries

Floating funds may be in vogue, but investors should be wary. While there are obvious benefits to listing a fund one can’t help but think that a lot of it is down to firm ego. None of the big guns or wannabes want to be viewed as 'second tier' and they all now regard going public as the best way to prove they are on top.
