Record $1 trln in loan refinancings in 2013 despite Q3 slowdown

A record $1.13 trillion in loans were refinanced in the U.S. in 2013, a 48 percent increase over the same period last year. M&A-related lending is up 40 percent at $254 billion, sister publication Reuters Loan Pricing Corp reported.
