Regis sells mall-based salon business to Regent

Regis Corp said Oct. 2 that it sold nearly all of its mall-based salon business in North America to Regent LP. Regis also agreed to sell substantially all of its international segment to Regent, a Los Angeles PE firm. Financial terms weren’t announced. The deal includes 858 Regis salons in North America and MasterCuts locations. The international segment includes 250 Regis salons and Supercuts salons in the U.K. About 9,800 stylists and managers in the salons will become employees of Regent’s the Beautiful Group. The international portion of the deal is expected to close this month.
