Riverside promotes Peter Tsang to Partner

Tsang serves as lower middle market firm’s industry sector head of is education and training specialization  

The Riverside Company has appointed Peter Tsang a partner in its San Francisco office where he oversees its investments in lower middle market education and training businesses, according to a statement.

Tsang has participated in more than 12 platform company acquisitions and over 20 add-on acquisitions, as well as several realisations during his 11 years with the New York-based private equity group.

His responsibilities at Riverside include originating deals valued up to $300 million and assisting with due diligence activities and post-investment operations.

The firm's investments in the education and training sector include holdings in Camelot Education, Grace Hill, Health & Safety Institute and Learning Seat.

Prior to joining Riverside in 2004, Tsang worked as an investment banking analyst at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, and as a staff auditor at Ernst & Young and an associate at Northwestern Investment Management.
