The Riverside Company has promoted former associate Tommy Seddon to field originator for the UK and Ireland, according to a statement.
Seddon joined Riverside in 2013 and previously worked in sponsor coverage and M&A advisory at DC Advisory in London. While Riverside has been investing in the UK since 2005, the title of field originator focused exclusively on these two markets represents a new position for the firm. Lars Eriksson, a former principal covering the UK, Nordic and Baltics, was promoted to director in January and previously led origination in the UK.
Seddon “has demonstrated a passion for origination and a keen understanding for the British and Irish markets”, Eriksson said in the statement.
The promotion adds to Riverside’s origination efforts in the UK and Ireland, a ‘focal point’ for the firm, Riverside said in the statement.
Riverside has completed nine acquisitions in the UK market since 2005, most recently expanding its DISA Global Solutions platform with the acquisition of RS Occupational Health (RSOH) of Aberdeen, Scotland. The DISA add-on deal marks the third for that platform under Riverside’s ownership.
