Sandstone, MaRS IAF invest $2 mln in Matter and Form
Matter and Form Inc, the developer of a high-resolution 3D scanner, has secured $2 million in first-time venture capital financing. The round, which follows the company's successful raise of almost $500,000 on Indiegogo, was led by Calgary investment management firm Sandstone Asset Management and joined by MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF), which is managed by Canadian innovation hub MaRS Discovery District. Founded in 2013 by CEO Drew Cox and Adam Brandejs, the Toronto-based Matter and Form will use funding proceeds to invest in staffing, marketing, and research and development.
