Sentient joins North American Nickel’s $17.5 mln financing
Vancouver-based mineral exploration company North American Nickel Inc (TSX-V: NAN) has closed a private placement deal, raising $17.5 million. China's Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd accounted for $15 million of the investment, while Sentient Group, a resource private equity firm based in the Cayman Islands, also contributed. As a result, Sentient holds about 46.9 percent of issued and outstanding shares. The proceeds will be used by NAN for a work program and additional exploration and drilling activities at its Maniitsoq nickel-copper-platinum-group-elements project in Greenland and other priorities.
