Air cargo carrier Southern Air Holdings, which is backed by Oak Hill Capital, has named Robert Crandall to its board. Crandall is a former chairman and chief executive of AMR Corporation and American Airlines. Crandall is currently chairman of Celestica and is a director at Aircell. Southern Air is based in Norwalk, Conn.
