Square 1 Bank Implements Succession Plan, Names Muehlenbeck As Chairman
Robert Muehlenbeck was named chairman of Square 1 Financial, Inc. and Square 1 Bank. Muehlenbeck has been a board member since the commercial bank was founded and he was executive vice president and director of Imperial Bank prior to his retirement in 1999. Six Square 1 Bank executives, under the guidance of Lead Director Robert Keith, will fulfill the CEO’s responsibilities and functions. Square 1 Bank’s board formed an executive search committee to find a permanent successor to Richard Casey, who passed away earlier this month.
