Thayer Ventures' Mark Farrell becomes interim San Francisco mayor
Thayer Ventures Managing Director Mark Farrell has been chosen to serve as the interim mayor of the city of San Francisco until the next election scheduled for June. Farrell is a member of the city’s board of supervisors. He was voted into the role of caretaker mayor on January 23, 2018 when the board voted down its president London Breed, who had become acting mayor after Ed Lee’s sudden death in December. Breed is running for mayor in the June election, while Farrell is not.
