TPG-backed BVI names new president/CEO

Waltham, Massachusetts-based Beaver-Visitec International, a provider of specialized surgical devices for the ophthalmic industry, has hired Dana G. Mead Jr as president and CEO. Mead is a former strategic adviser and partner in the life sciences practice of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. BVI is backed by TPG Capital.
