VC-backed Harmony Information Systems bought by Mediware

Harmony Information Systems Inc, a provider of cloud-based long-term care software, has been acquired by Mediware Information Systems Inc for an undisclosed price. Mediware, a U.S.-based specialist in software for the commercial healthcare industry, said the acquisition would expand its footprint in the post-acute care market. With its headquarters in Weston, Virginia, Harmony has been a portfolio company of Canadian specialty finance firm Wellington Financial since 2011. It also has been backed by U.S. investors, including venture capital firms JMI Equity and Updata Partners.
