VC-Backed SCL Elements Acquired by Schneider Electric
SCL Elements, Inc., a Montréal, Quebec-based company that works with systems integrators, resellers, and OEMs on software set-ups to held optimize buildings' energy consumption, has been acquired by French energy management specialist Schneider Electric SA. The financial terms of the deal were not published. SCL Elements has since 2011 been backed by US clean-tech venture capital firms Navitas Capital and The Westly Group.
