VC-backed WhaleShark Adds Jill Balis as SVP, Marketing

WhaleShark Media Inc., operator of online coupon and deal sites, has added Jill Balis as senior vice president, marketing. Most recently, Balis was managing director of SMG Search, the dedicated search marketing unit of Starcom MediaVest Group. Texas-based WhaleShark Media is backed by Austin Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Adams Street Partners and Google Ventures.
