San Francisco-based Cloudflare, an internet performance and security company, has launched an $100 million fund. The Cloudflare Developer Fund will invest in startups building applications on Cloudflare's apps platform. The fund's investors are New Enterprise Associates, Venrock and Pelion Venture Partners.

Cyber security provider Trend Micro announced it has setup a $100 million venture fund to invest in Internet of Things and other emerging technologies. In addition to providing startup capital, the venture arm will also offer companies access to its threat intelligence, strategic alliances and its access to more than 28,000 partners.

London and Nairobi-based venture firm TLcom Capital has raised $40 million for its new Africa fund. The target is $100 million. TIDE Africa Fund will focus on tech startups in Sub-Saharan Africa. The investors include African Development Bank, the European Investment Bank and FBN Capital. The fund will make investments between $500,000 and $10 million per company.
