Fusion-io on Wednesday filed with the SEC to raise as much as $350 million via a stock offering. Fusion-io itself plans to sell about $100 million while the rest will come from selling stockholders. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are joing bookrunners on the deal. New Enterprise Associates own about 31% of the company, according to an SEC filing.

American Express Co. is launching $100 million fund to invest in early stage start-ups and other businesses in areas including loyalty and rewards, mobile and online payment management, security and fraud detection and data analysis, Reuters reported Tuesday. The credit card giant is also looking into partnerships and acquisitions as it expands more into digital commerce. Amex setting up an office in Silicon Valley to oversee the effort.
