The sixth annual Rising Stars celebrates the achievements of people under the age of 40 in the venture capital industry. The deadline for nominations is November 15.

Nordic investor Butterfly Ventures has raised €47 million toward a target fund size of €100 million, with first-close investors including Saminvest and Tesi.

Helsinki, Finland-based Aiven, which develops cloud infrastructure, announced that it has raised $40 million in a Series B round of funding from IVP and existing investors Earlybird VC and Lifeline Ventures, among others.
