Brisbane, California-based Unity Biotechnology Inc, a developer of treatments that prevent, halt, or reverse numerous diseases of aging, has raised $85 million for its IPO after pricing its 5 million shares at $17 per share. The stock began trading May 3, 2018 on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "UBX." Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup are serving as the underwriters. Unity's pre-IPO backers include EcoR1 Capital Fund, 6 Dimensions Capital, Altitude Life Science Ventures, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Baillie Gifford, Partner Fund Management, Pivotal Alpha Limited, Invus Opportunities, ARCH Venture Partners, Venrock, Founders Fund and the Longevity Fund.

Salesforce Ventures has launched Canada Trailblazer Fund, a $100 million fund that will invest in Canadian startups. So far the fund has invested in Tier1CRM, a provider of cloud-based CRM solutions for the capital markets industry built on Salesforce; Traction Guest, a developer of cloud-based visitor management systems; Tulip, a mobile application provider focused on empowering workers in retail stores; and OSF Commerce, a digital cloud transformation specialist focused on building multi-cloud and unified commerce projects using Salesforce.

UK and Sweden-based Oxx, a growth capital firm that invests in B2B software companies, has raised $100 million in the first close of its inaugural fund. Oxx I will target UK, Nordic and Israeli markets. The fund's limited partners include family offices and British Business Investments, the commercial arm of the British Business Bank.
