South San Francisco-based Allogene Therapeutics, a biotech company focused on cancer treatment, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was Vida Ventures.

Sequoia leads Series B round for Insider

Insider, a provider of a newly launched growth management platform, has raised $11 million in Series B funding. Sequoia led the round.

SalesLoft lands $50 mln Series C

Atlanta-based SalesLoft, a sales engagement platform, has secured $50 million in Series C funding, according to a blog post on its site. The investors were Insight Venture Partners, Emergence Capital and LinkedIn.

Axonics picks up $40.1 mln

Irvine, California-based Axonics Modulation Technologies Inc, a developer of the first rechargeable sacral neuromodulation system for the treatment of urinary and fecal dysfunction, has closed $40.1 million in financing. The transaction includes $20.1 million in equity and a $20 million credit facility. Longitude Capital led the equity round that included participation from return backer Gilde Healthcare. Silicon Valley Bank provided the secured credit facility. Concurrent with the financing, Juliet Bakker, co-founder and managing director of Longitude, will join the Axonics' board of directors.

ADFG agrees to strategic investment in 500 Startups

Abu Dhabi-based investment group ADFG has made a strategic investment in the worldwide seed-stage firm 500 Startups. The amount of the investment is undisclosed. 500 Startups said the investment will help it scale faster, enter new markets and anchor future global funds. As part of the investment, ADFG will join 500's board.

Cybersecutity company Fyde emerges from stealth with $3 mln in seed

Palo Alto, California-based Fyde, a cybersecurity company focused on phishing attacks on mobile devices, has emerged from stealth and announced it has raised $3 million in seed-stage funding from Draper Nexus and Vertex Ventures. The company, founded in 2017, is led by CEO Sinan Eren. Eren previously was co-founder of Remotium, which Avast acquired in 2015.

Cloud Apps Capital Partners raises $66.7 mln for second fund

Cloud Apps Capital Partners has raised $66.7 million toward a $100 million second early stage fund, according to a filing with the SEC.

BitPay scores $40 mln

BitPay, a global blockchain payments provider, has raised $40 million in funding. The investors included Aquiline Capital Partners, Menlo Ventures, Capital Nine, G Squared, Nimble Ventures (an affiliate of Passport Capital) and Delta-v Capital.

Hu rejoins Qiming as partner

Chinese venture firm Qiming Venture Partners has rehired Steven Hu as a partner. Hu will be focused on investing in the internet and consumer sector. Previously, Hu worked at Qiming from 2009 to 2013.

Venture-backed Procurify acquires VendorBase

Procurify has acquired VendorBase, a Canadian online buyer-supplier platform. No financial terms were disclosed. Procurify, a Vancouver-based procure-to-pay software provider, said it has rebranded the business as Procurify Exchange, which will operate on the company's platform as a request-for-quote solution. Founded in 2012, Procurify helps organizations make more informed spending decisions. Its backers include the Business Development Bank of Canada, Nexus Venture Partners, Point Nine Capital and Runa Capital, all of which invested in the company's $7 million Series A round in 2016.
