Repare Therapeutics picks up Series B funding

Montreal and Boston-based Repare Therapeutics, a precision oncology company, has closed US$82.5 million in Series B financing. Cowen Healthcare Investments led the round. Other participants in the financing included OrbiMed, Redmile, BVF Partners LP, Logos Capital, Versant Ventures, MPM Capital, Fonds de solidarité FTQ and BDC Capital. In addition to the funding, Kevin Raidy, managing partner at Cowen Healthcare Investments and Dr. David Bonita, a partner at OrbiMed, will join Repare’s board of directors.

Fieldin gathers $12 mln

Fresno, California and Israel-based Fieldin, a provider of a farm management platform, has secured $12 million in financing. Zeev Ventures led the round.

BrightInsight fetches $25 mln Series A

San Jose, California and Switzerland-based BrightInsight Inc, a provider of a digital health platform for biopharma and medtech, has secured $25 million in Series A funding. New Leaf Venture Partners and Eclipse Ventures led the round.

Sigrid Therapeutics rakes in $1.6 mln

Stockholm-based Sigrid Therapeutics, which is developing a device to lower blood sugar levels, has raised $1.6 million in funding. Joyance Partners and Pär Gellerfors led the round.

Gambling.com Group inks $15.5 mln

Gambling.com Group, a performance marketing company in the online gambling industry, has secured $15.5 million in funding. The investor was Edison Partners.

Veralox scores $5.4 mln seed

Frederick, Maryland-based Veralox Therapeutics, a preclinical stage company, has raised $5.4 million in seed funding. JDRF T1D Fund, Sanofi Ventures and the VTC Innovation and VTC Seed Fund led the round with participation from the Maryland Momentum Fund, the University of Vermont Health Network and TEDCO.

Aural Analytics lands $4.3 mln

Aural Analytics Inc, a digital health company focused on building an advanced speech analytics platform, has raised $4.3 million in funding. Morningside Ventures and Tamarisc Ventures led the round.

PathoQuest snags funding

Paris-based PathoQuest, a genomic expert company focused on the microbiology testing market, has raised 8 million euros in funding. The backers include Kurma Partners, Idinvest Partners and Charles River Labs.

iSTAR Medical grabs Series C

Belgium-based iSTAR Medical SA, a developer of ophthalmic implants for the treatment of glaucoma, has raised 40 million euros in Series C financing. LSP and Gimv led the round with participation from Earlybird, BNP Paribas Fortis Private Equity, Capricorn Partners, Walloon Region Investment Fund and Belgian Federal Investment Fund.

Ridge Ventures adds Brendan Baker as partner

Ridge Ventures, which last year raised $150 million for its fourth early-stage fund, has tapped Brendan Baker to join the team as partner. Baker was previously with Wing and Hone Capital, as well as such companies and accelerators as Passport, Shift, Batch, AngelPad and Techstars. On the investment team, he joins Alexander Rosen, Ben Metcalfe, Gil Penchina and Pat Kenealy.
