EryDel raises 26 mln euros

EryDel has raised 26 million euros ($31.7 million) in financing led by Sofinnova Partners. Existing shareholders Genextra SpA and Innogest SGR also participated to the investment. EryDel, of Milan, is developing a drug delivery device for the treatment of rare neurodegenerative diseases.

Leanplum Series D raises $52 mln

Leanplum said April 24 that it increased its Series D funding to $52 million with an add-on investment from Waterwood Group. Leanplum, of San Francisco, provides a mobile marketing platform.

8VC has raised a $640 million second core fund, Axios reported.

3D printer Formlabs raises $30 mln in round led by Tyche

Somerville, Massachusetts-based Formlabs, which develops 3D printers, has raised $30 million in a Series C round of funding led by Tyche Partners. The round also includes participation from Shenzhen Capital Group and UpNorth Investment Limited and existing investors DFJ, Pitango and Foundry Group. The company, which has now raised $85 million in total funding, was founded in 2012 by a trio of engineers and designers from MIT.

Venrock raises $400 mln for healthcare fund

New York-based Venrock has raised $400 million for Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners III, the firm's public and cross-over biotech fund. Venrock raised $200 million for the prior fund in 2014 and $450 million for its eighth main fund in 2016. The cross-over fund is led by Bong Koh and Nimish Shah, according to a regulatory filing.

Boralex to buy Ardian-backed Kallista Energy

Ardian has agreed to sell Kallista Energy Investment to Boralex. Financial terms weren't announced. Kallista, of Paris, is a producer of wind energy.

Contessa Health said April 19 that it raised additional financing. Terms were not disclosed. Health Velocity Capital led the round while BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners, Noro-Moseley Partners, and Sandbox Advantage Fund participated. Contessa, of Nashville, provides a health informatics platform for home recovery care.
