Syros Pharmaceuticals said Tuesday that it has hired Jorge Conde as chief financial officer and chief product officer. Previously, Conde was the co-founder and CFO of Knome. Based in Watertown, Mass., Syros is focused on treating cancer and other diseases. It is backed by Flagship Ventures and ARCH Venture Partners.

San Diego-based biotech startup Solstice Biologics, which is backed by venBio and Aeris Capital, has hired Dr. Lou Tartaglia as president and CEO. Tartaglia has also been added to the firm's board of directors. Also, the firm has named John Borgeson as chief financial officer. Previously, Tartaglia worked at Third Rock Ventures where he was a partner while Borgeson was vice president of finance for Pfizer's biotherapeutic and bioinnovation center.

Marissa Campise has left Venrock to join SoftBank Capital as a partner. Her move was initially reported by re/code on June 6 and tweeted by SoftBank Partner Joe Medved here. Campise's bio at SoftBank is available here. As previously reported by peHUB, Campise joined Venrock in 2011 from Greycroft Partners. Among the deals she was involved with while at Venrock included Klout, which was acquired by Lithium in March, and Burner, which raised $2 million in funding last year.
