Early-stage green tech investor GreenAngel Energy Corp. has named Thealzel Lee and Mike Walkinshaw to its board of directors. Currently, Lee is a senior partner at Rocket Builders while Walkinshaw is a managing partner and co-founder of Fronterra Ventures, an oil and energy-focused venture fund based in Calgary and Vancouver.

Hootsuite Media, the Vancouver-based developer of social media management systems, announced that Ajai Sehgal has joined the company as chief technology officer. Sehgal was previously with Groupon and Expedia and will head the company's team of software engineers. Hootsuite raised US$165 million last year in a financing from Accel Partners, OMERS Venture Capital and Insight Venture Partners.

MarginPoint said Monday that it has hired Drew Macbeth as its new vice president of sales. Previously, Macbeth worked at Sage Software where he served as vice president of sales. Based in Lake Forest, Calif., MarginPoint is a provider of cloud solutions for the industrial sector. It is backed by The Argentum Group, InnoCal Venture Capital, Inverness Graham Investments and Mission Ventures.

According to an announcement on its site made by CEO and founder Drew Houston, Dropbox has added former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice to its board of directors. Rice served in her post under former President George W. Bush. Also, the firm has named Sujay Jaswa as its chief financial officer and Dennis Woodside as its chief operating officer. Based in San Francisco, Dropbox allows computer users to share photos, documents and videos anywhere without emailing files. Its backers include Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, Benchmark, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock and Morgan Stanley.
