Erik Engelson and Jeffry Grainger have joined medical device incubator The Foundry LLC as managing partners. Engleson previously was president and CEO of Cierra. He also has served in roles with both Versant Ventures and IVP. Grainger previously was VP of corporate affairs and general council with Xtent Inc.

Jay Hoag, a founding general partner of Technology Crossover Ventures, has quietly resigned from the board of directors of TheStreet.com (Nasdaq: TSCM). TCV had invested $55 million into TSCM in November 2007 – buying preferred stock that would convert into common at $14.26 per share. TSCM stock was trading at around $13 at the time, but now sits well below $3 per share. TCV has not named a replacement board member, and Hoag did not return requests for comment.

Prime Technology Ventures has hit the €150 million target for its third fund, and says it is headed toward an undisclosed hard cap. The European venture firm also named two new partners: Jelto Kromwijk Smits, former CEO of Philips Incubator, and Joost Holleman, formerly with AlpInvest Partners.

Kraus worked in the firm’s healthcare practice out of Wellesley, Mass., while S.V. focuses on India from the firm’s Mumbai office.
