Viral video messaging app Dubsmash grabs $5.5 mln

Berlin-based viral video messaging app Dubsmash has raised $5.5 million in Series A funding. Index Ventures led the round with participation from Lowercase Capital, ENIAC Ventures, Sunstone Capital, Raine Ventures and King Digital Entertainment CEO Riccardo Zacconi. In conjunction with the funding, Danny Rimer of Index Ventures has been added to Dubsmash's board.
