Zafgen Adds $21M for Obesity Drug

Biopharmaceutical company Zafgen Inc. has closed on $21 million in fresh capital for continued development of its obesity drug, beloranib. Alta Partners led the round, and was joined by existing investors Atlas Venture and Third Rock Ventures.
