ZS Pharma Nets $46M for Kidney, Liver Disease

Specialty pharmaceutical company ZS Pharma Inc. closed a $46 million financing round to support development of its treatments for kidney and liver disease. Alta Partners led the new round of financing, joined by new investors RiverVest Venture Partners, 3x5 Special Opportunity Partners and Salem Partners as well as current investor Devon Park Bioventures. The company is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
