Twist Bioscience rakes in $37 mln Series C
San Francisco-based Twist Bioscience, a producer of synthetic DNA, has closed $37 million in Series C funding. Illumina Inc led the round with participation from other investors that included Fidelity Management and Research Company, Foresite Capital Management LLC, Tao Invest, ARCH Venture Partners and Paladin Capital Group. In addition to the funding, Dr. Nicholas J. Naclerio, Illumina's senior vice president of corporate development and general manager of enterprise informatics, has been added to Twist Bioscience board of directors.
