PayPal to buy Hyperwallet for $400 mln
PayPal Holdings Inc said June 19 that it agreed to buy Hyperwallet for $400 million cash. Hyperwallet, the Vancouver payments provider, supplies B2C and peer-to-peer services for corporations and financial institutions. Primus Capital and Bratenahl Capital Partners invested in Hyperwallet in 2014. Michael Grace of Perella Weinberg Partners LP provided financial advice to PayPal, while Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP acted as their legal adviser. Jon Steele of Raymond James & Associates Inc provided financial advice to Hyperwallet, while Goodwin Procter LLP was their legal adviser.
